Well, it has been a wonderful week as I have been digging out music I have recorded, written & produced. This is allowing me to go over the intense experience that writing, recording, and singing can be. The only thing I can compare it to is with having a new ‘song baby’. You get the lyrics working, the chord progression then the melody as the cherry on top. Sometimes a small adaptation in the mix can really make a song, other times the re-arrangement of a section to introduce some interesting dynamics or a build-up can be the making of the music.
This song “With Poison (Hold On)” was co-written by Rachel Fellini and Chip Jenkins, with engineering by Matt Twaites. We worked on Rachel’s Orchestral House Sound to support her “Madonna-inspired” singing career.
